J.L. “John” Alarcon is General Manager
of the North American Region
Responsible for overseeing all XRT activities in the United States and Canada,
Alarcon is a leading international authority in the software industry, where
he built a solid reputation for delivering unbiased IT advice to the global
marketplace. He served as chief operating officer and research director of CXP,
an IT research and consulting firm based in Paris, before becoming president
and CEO of SPEX, a leading enterprise software evaluation firm that he formed
in 1996 in the US. SPEX was acquired by global information technology research
and consulting firm META Group, Inc in 2000. Alarcon joined META Group at that
time and was named Sr. VP and general manager of the group. He holds an advanced
degree from the University of Paris Dauphine (France) and an M.B.A. from the
University of South Florida, and graduated from the Columbia University Senior
Executive Program.
Northern Europe
Geert Deprez is General Manager of the Northern Europe
Region.
Geert Deprez joined Beyers & Partners in 1987 as consultant. He has been responsible
for treasury applications since 1989. In 1999, he became the Managing Director
of the company. At the end of July 1999, after the merger of Beyers & Partners
with XRT, he became responsible for XRT Benelux. He studied Applied Economics
at the University of Louvain and has a degree in Finance from the Vlerick Leuven
Gent Management School.
Daniel Andres is General Manager of the Central Europe
region comprising Germany, Switzerland, Eastern Europe
Daniel started his career as a stockbroker with the Swiss Stock Exchange, but
soon switched into the software business where he worked as a programmer and
software analyst for two years before deciding to take on new tasks in the Sales
and Marketing sector.
Before joining XRT, Daniel worked for Sungard, first as a Sales Manager in
Zurich and Stockholm, then as the Business Development, Sales and Marketing
Manager in London. Next, he joined SimCorp in London where he became Managing
Director, responsible for business activities in the whole of Europe, the Middle
East and Africa. He successfully introduced new sales and marketing strategies,
entirely restructured the service department and put great emphasis on product
enhancement. Moreover, Daniel closed highly lucrative contracts in complex negotiations.
Daniel Andres graduated from the Graduate School of Business Administration
in Zurich and holds a degree as Betriebsökonom lic.oek.
Latin America & Iberia
Teresa Núñez is General Manager of XRT Spain.
Teresa Nuñez Monedero holds a degree in Verterinary Medicine from the Universidad
Complutense de Madrid and a masters degree in Administration and Business Management
from the ICADE. She has spent a large part of her professional career at XRT
SPain, starting as Training Manager, then Services Director.
Thierry Giraud is General Manger of XRT Brazil
Thierry Giraud is a qualified engineer who is fluent in four languages with
extensive experience in high-level international sales and account management.
Giraud spent two years at Aldata’s Paris office where he managed a number
of regions outside Europe including Indonesia and South America before taking
over as senior sales director for Aldata Latin America. While with Aldata, his
customers included Tesco, Carrefour and St Gobain. Giraud holds an enginerring
degree from the Institut des Sciences de l'Ingénieur de l'Université
Blaise Pascal (CUST).
Southern Europe and Middle East / Africa
Jean Beaufort is General Manager of the SEMEA
(Southern Europe Middle East Africa) Region.
Before joining XRT, Jean Beaufort spent several years with CHS/Métrologie, the
leading European wholesaler of computer products, with 1999 sales of more than
6 bilion. At CHS he was Director of the Peripherals Division (1985) and, later,
Director of the Metrology Systems France division (1987). He assumed management
for the company's Italian subsidiary in 1991. Between 1992 and 1998 he was Vice-President
of International Metrology Marketing and, from 1998 to 1999, General Manager
of European Marketing for CHS. During his tenure with CHS, he developed partnerships
with software developers and publishers, and established the company's reseller
sales and marketing policy.
Before working with CHS, Jean Beaufort was European VP Marketing at Tandy Computer
Corporation (1981 to 1985) and General Manager of Sofragem, the data processing
subsidiary of the Rothshild Bank (1978 to 1981). He began his carreer with Sema
Group (1971 to 1978) as a Sales Engineer, Product Manager and Consultant.
Jean Beaufort has a degree from the Ecole Centrale, a PhD in management from
the University of Paris IX Dauphine and a postgraduate degree from INSEAD.
