Corporate Information
The XRT group is "the world major provider in electronic Banking and Cash & Treasury Management applications" (IDC 1999).
Established as Cerg Finance in 1983 in France, the company rapidly emerged as the leading vendor of cash and treasury management applications. From 1983 to 1995, the group experienced a rapid European expansion. Floatation on the Paris Bourse in 1996 cemented previous successes and provided the means to finance a new stage in the company's development.
Two strategic acquisitions : in 1998, XRT Inc., a leader in US market for treasury management applications, and in 1999, Beyers & Partners, a Belgian software editor (Globe$) have given the company new international scope. The group changed its name XRT as a result of this new expansion phase and began other growth operations in Mexico and Brazil in 1999, creating new opportunities in the Latin American market. The company has thus confirmed its position as world leader in its field.
These are strengthened by a firm policy of technological and banking partnerships and strategic alliances. To meet the specific and general needs of companies, XRT draws on its multi-national consulting teams and a network of approved VARs.
The expansion of Internet-based technology as a disruptive innovation factor and the development of Business to Business marketplaces and exchanges has created new scope and opportunities for the group to play an active role in developing the technology needed by Financial Executives to meet requirements in term of electronic financial transactions. This evolution has highlighted that traditional processes in the field of payments, collection, liquidity and risk management and connectivity had to step up to meet the challenges of the new business velocity.
