Paris, la défense, 18 May, 2006: XRT, a leading financial software supplier covering the entire Financial Value Chain (FVC), announces today the release of XRT Globe$ 5.00. This latest major upgrade features a number of significant enhancements that increase the ability to centralise risk and funding and help organisations meet emerging regulatory requirements. New features include comprehensive Straight Through Processing (STP) facilitating an automated self-service deal and payment requests system for subsidiaries, extensive hedge accounting functionality and a stronger and more flexible payment workflow.

XRT Globe$ is a cornerstone of XRT’s vision to create a portfolio of products that address the entire financial value chain from collection through to payment. Ideal for high-end, or corporate, customers with an integrated centralised treasury function or with large regional treasuries, this latest version further extends XRT Globe$ cash, treasury and risk management capability.

A key element of Globe$ 5.00 is its STP capability, which allows the central treasury to completely automate its response to requests for FX and money market transactions from subsidiaries. Once a dealing or payment transaction request is submitted, the system automatically attributes a price based on current market or internal rates and then tracks the transaction process to settlement. Not only does this represent significant productivity gains for central treasury, it also increases efficiency and the security of the process. In addition, time limits can be set and enforced to ensure a smooth and effective transactional process, reflecting the volatile nature of the FX&MM market.

XRT Globe$ 5.00 also offers strong hedge accounting functionality, supporting regression analysis for both prospective and retrospective effectiveness testing for hedge accounting. This allows the treasurer to develop better effectiveness ratios for derivatives.
